Does anyone here work on a blank template rather than using the actual Fontself template provided by the extension?
Also, I would like you to shed some light on your process of working as a font-designer?

I never use the template from Fontself. However, I have a text that contains all the necessary characters for European languages. I work with this. If you want to know more about European special characters, visit my German page http://www.computergrafik-know-how.de/europaeische-sonderzeichen/, where you can also download an English PDF file. In my Behance section https://www.behance.net/jensulkriebel you can also find javascripts for Adobe Illustrator, which I have programmed to work faster.
