When I first became interested in creating typefaces, the flag alphabet (Maritime Signs) was one of my first projects. I created it in colour, in black and white and in inking (colours are filled with black and white patterns according to the rules of heraldry).
The creation of the three variants was also part of my German book “Font Design, Volume 1: Creating Symbol Fonts”.
