Guides for Small Caps font

I’m making a font with no lowercase glyphs, I’m using small caps instead. I’ve finished all the characters and will start the batching process, my question is: since I don’t have any lower case glyphs do I still need to create and select the ascender and descenders guides when doing the batching for all the glyphs?

Both ascender and descender value are automatically generated when you create the first glyphs, and you can adjust them visually by moving the horizontal guides on each glyph cell.

So no need to set them yourself unless you want a specific value. In this case, we advise you to select the guides along with the first characters you import, and no need to do it for subsequent glyphs as there are global values to the font.
