How to use my own font in an eBook?

Hello, everybody,
I created my first character set in Illustrator CC with FontSelf. The character set shows the keys on the keyboard and is intended for a computer book. Since I also want to publish this book as an eBook, here is my question: How can I integrate my own character set into the eBook, which is always correctly displayed on eBook readers and programs?

Hi!

I don’t have much experience about creating ebooks but it looks like it’s doable by embedding the font file.
