In illustrator i have set the guides and named them. I then paste in my accents in order in the box top left of panel. With comma’s and the select create.
Now I’m not an expert on Illustrator but I’ve no idea to how solve this issue? I’m trying to generate the letters for processing and in illustrator its giving me this error message. That there is more shapes there? How is there?

Could you send a screenshot of the issue? Seeing the objects’ layer names would help to understand the problem too.
I don’t know illustrator 100% enough sort this out. As I do my work in another program and save it as “.ai” extension. Always have until i get to learn illustrator. There were other variants of the message feature in the picture.
Ok, each character should be its own group (probably the accents are not grouped with each E)
Also, once the guides have been set during the first glyph import, you just need to select the baseline for additional glyphs (as other guides like ascender, capsHeight do not need to be redefined each time you add new glyphs).
im getting some success. but i don’t know the pathfinder, or the compound etc…I’ve no idea. I’ve even done the guides like you said. Never have i had this issue to extent where i cant do anything. I don’t know what’s meant to be right so that the process has no issue.
