Replacing glyph without reset matric value

Can I replacing a glyph without fontself reset the matrix value?

Sometimes I kinda like to remake a glyph, but the matric value setting is just perfect, I dont want to reset it back to the default setting.

Hi, to retain the same metrics (spacing & kerning included) you should overwrite the current shape by assigning the exact same character, but NOT by deleting or replacing the glyph by a new one:

  • Just select your new shape (eventually with a horizontal guide to readjust the baseline)
  • Type the character in the text field and press Create Glyph
