Smart Spacing Missing

Hello all, I’m working on my first font in Photoshop. Overall, it’s been great fun, but when I get to spacing I realise the button for Smart Spacing is missing. What am I doing wrong?

I’m on an Intel Mac running macOS Catalina, using PS CC2017. Fontself version: 3.5.7

I 'm sorry. The button “smart (spacing)” is only available in Illustrator, see screenshots:

Thanks, that makes sense. Do you think there’s any chance that it will migrate to Photoshop in future releases?
