SPARTAKIADA. my first font

Ok, bit of a novice here so bear with me and be gentle.

Though a designer of too many years, I’ve never actually attempted to design whole fonts beyond the odd letters for logos and suchlike.

So this is my first attempt. SPARTAKIADA, A font based on my love of The Russian and Soviet avant-garde from the early 20th century. Particularly in this case the work of Gustav Kluzis. I’ve a poster hanging above my desk and this is a full interpretation of some of the hand lettering styles used.

Just 2 weights at the moment, no italics and limited glyphs, but just formed enough to use sparingly. Yes, it’s a bit clunky, but I’m discovering the time and effort it takes to create full fonts, and how totally immersive and fascinating it is.

Sorry for the clutter, new users can only post one image, so 4 samples in one here.
