Unsupported fill color!

I have been stuck on this ALL DAY.

So I hand drew 26 letters. I scanned them, put them into photoshop, cut them out, and added color.

I then took each file and put them into illustrator. It recognizes that I have all 26 letters, but an error message pops up in the corner saying I’m using an unsupported fill color. It then says under it does not support things like gradients (not using a gradient). I’ve tried the flatten transparency thing and that does not work.

When I install the font, the letters turn into black boxes.

HOW IN THE WORLD DO I FIX THIS?
