Window Blacks out when enlarged

When I try to make the fontself window larger it turns black. Sometimes It might let me click stuff but the only way to get it back is to make the window smaller or restart illustrator. Thoughts? I have the newest 3.0.2 version installed on CC2018.

Other than that in only 24 hours I think I’ve got this thing nailed, lol. Learning curve compared to other products is minimal. Great job.

This sounds like an Illustrator issue, and apparently there are other cases of AI screens or panels going black: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/33739969-black-screen-problem

Couple ideas to solve this:

  • Deactivate the GPU acceleration in Preferences > Performance and restart AI
  • On a PC, update your graphic card’s drivers
